How did Mom It Forward Media partner with Toca Boca?

            Highlights:

Mom It Forward partnered with Toca Boca for a fun-filled blog tour campaign. The participants, together with their kids downloaded and browsed through a digital kitchen application, called “Toca Kitchen” and turned the mobile experience into reality. While the main goal of the campaign was to focus on the app, mom bloggers had the option to talk about the fun and creative aspect of the experience. Thirteen bloggers from the Mom It Forward blogger network participated in this campaign.

Objectives:

The goal of the campaign with Toca Boca was to spread the word about the digital kitchen app through a blog tour. Mom bloggers who participated in the campaign were required to download the app and play alongside their kids and be familiar with its features. From there, both mom and child choose a recipe and replicate the steps in the game into a real scenario. During the cooking process, mom bloggers are required to take photos, and avideo of their kids to be included in their blog posts.

Details:

The fun in this campaign starts with downloading the app and browsing through it alongside your kids. The mother and kid tandem then chooses a recipe from ‘Toca Kitchen’, and replicate the steps from the application into a real kitchen setting. Blog posts for the campaign had to include photos from the cooking process and a short video of the kids. The posts should also include a short description of the app, at least one pinnable image and the recipe they’ve chosen. Publish dates for this campaign is between December 19 and 31. Social media promotions include promotional short-form posts on Facebook and Twitter, image on Pinterest, and Instagram videos.

Results:

This campaign was a success. It was impossible for kids and their mom bloggers not to enjoy the experience. Even when almost everything has gone digital, the kitchen will always be that one place that’s more enjoyable to be in, in reality. This campaign offered both scenarios, with both commencing with positive reviews.

“I liked that they didn’t just ask for a post about an app review, but brought it into real life to make it fun. I thought the cooking was a really creative way to tie things together and make the app make sense, make parents see how it has value, and make it fun.”
